Welcome to the TMEA Region 24 Vocal Division
Welcome to the 2011-2012 school year! In order to ease communication for directors and students, we have established this web site. You will find many useful links for both directors and students, including audition dates and sites, audition rules, directions, etc. We hope you find this site useful and easy to navigate.
| Auditioning for Region?
Here is a checklist of things to do or remember:
- Get your music (you must have originals) and learn it ASAP
- Check the rehearsal notes and misprints link on the Auditions Tab of this web site
- Be aware of your audition dates, sectionals and region weekend for when you make the choir
- Practice your sight reading
When you audition remember you are committing to the following dates:
- Phase 1 Auditions (Women Only) at Creekview HS- Tuesday, September 27th
- Region Auditions (Women and Men) at Colleyville-Heritage HS- Monday, October 17th ***Please note that this is on a MONDAY and not a Saturday like in previous years***
- Region Sectionals at Hebron HS - Tuesday, October 25th
- Region Weekend at FUMC Grapevine- Friday & Saturday, November 4th & 5th
If you are seeking to go all the way to Texas All-State Choir you need to also have these dates available:
- Pre Area Auditions at Lake Dallas HS - Tuesday, November 15th
- Area Auditions at TBA, but most likely in Abilene- Saturday, January 7th
- TMEA All-State Convention in San Antonio- February 8th-11th
